It shows that the users will be double in coming few years. Therefore, it directly indicates that internet marketing has a good future in Nepal. Even since last 5 years, many websites purposed for business (mainly for travel and tourism) are taking the way of success. They are continuously optimizing there sites in search engines for even better results. The gradually increasing competition in internet marketing shows the bright future of SEO specialist in Nepal.

In this latest commercial era, providing good SEO for a site is to secure a good profit. A properly optimized site, by good SEO specialist takes its good rank in search engine. But all we need is a good SEO specialist. But in Nepal, we can count the number of experienced SEO specialist in our fingers. I agree that there are SEO experts in Nepal but their commercial value is low. This may be due to they are oblivious about SEO or internet marketing or they don’t want to spent in promotion of their sites.

Google PR Update 2011 June 27

Finally Google updated their PageRank after 6 months. I think the last update was on December 2010 and it’s time to see value of our site in the eyes of Google. As per rating given by the Google, most of the websites will see a significant improvement in Google PR. First of all, Congratulations to all those bloggers and webmasters who got Promoted. Based on forums discussion it seems like a global PageRank update was indeed pushed out.

It came to me as a surprise today in the evening when visited my blog. Since a year I didn't got a single PR update and now its PR-2 from 0. The PageRank is updating and it will take at least one week and i hope the PageRank of my blog wont change. But, actually i don’t care ‘coz it’s not going to affect the traffic anyway. Don’t forget to share your PR with me. Google has a lower PR than Facebook! Now i can see that on Google toolbar Facebook has Page rank 10 and Google PR 9...something interesting.

Official: Google Panda Update 2.2 Is Live

Google has given us confirmation that they have ran an update to the Panda filter recently.

We have been expecting the Panda 2.2 update based on news coming out of the SMX Advanced conference. Matt Cutts told SMX attendees that Panda 2.2 has been approved, hasn’t been rolled out yet, but that should happen soon.

The update hit sometime late last week. I believe Google manually pushed out the Panda 2.2 update around June 16th.

As some of you know, I track the SEO discussion forums very closely and have two posts at the Search Engine Roundtable discussing Webmaster chatter around this update. The first was on June 16th where I referenced ongoing WebmasterWorld threads and the second was on June 20th where I added in more Google Webmaster Help Threads.

Yesterday, I asked Google for confirmation that these discussions taking place were likely due to the Panda 2.2 release and Google gave us confirmation.

Some webmasters found themselves breaking out of the Panda filter and ranking better again, since being hit on Panda 1.0 on February 24th. Whereas others were hit for the first time, now suffering from the Panda filter.

As Google’s Cutts explained, 2.2 was to improve scraper detection and that these Panda updates are pushed out manually.

Google engineers have concluded that it needed a new way to provide consumers with relevant search results and began working in an update search algorithm known as Panda. Although Google does not share details about its internal processes for engineering, admitted hundreds of testers to identify a sample of web pages based on criteria.

As with many other well known sites have been suffered from the last update of the algorithm of Google, which is commonly known as Panda.The update of Google Panda controversy is now online worldwide (in English). Since the announcement of Google in this sense, the data came out to see some of the winners and losers:-

Negatively impacted by Panda update

Ciao.co.uk - One of the worst hit by the "Panda" update was Ciao.co.uk, a Microsoft-owned company that had been leading an EU competition case against Google. Its web visibility fell by 94%, it sucks…

eHow - eHow.co.uk as its another top loser with a -84% change (According to the SearchMetrics data).

EzineArticles - looking at UK search data has EzineArticles with a drop in search visibility of as much as 93.69%. Sistrix, looking at Europe, has the site as its number 2 loser with a change of -78%.

Mahalo - Still, the SearchMetrics UK has Mahalo at a 81.05% decrease in search visibility. The Sistrix data has the site at a -77% change.

HubPages - HubPages was hit the first time, and has been hit again. SearchMetrics has the site at -85,72%. Sistrix has it at -72%.

Xomba - A lot of price comparison sites were also negatively impacted. In the UK, Ciao.co.uk was a big loser with -93,83% according to SearchMetrics.

Google changes search algorithm

Google has recently(24-Feb-2011) updated its algorithm. A lot of people are reporting changes in their rankings. Google launch this change in the U.S. only & planning to roll it out elsewhere.

The main adjustment is to move the content of better quality at the top of Google search rankings. The changes affect 12% of the results of Google, the company said in a blog on Thursday night.

Google said it makes about 500 changes to its algorithm for a year, but most are so small that the company did not indicate them. This affects 12 percent of searches, Google says, so it is large enough to significantly change the results people see.

"Our goal is simple: to give users the most relevant answers to their queries as quickly as possible," said Gabriel Stricker, Google spokesman. Generally, the Google algorithm changes are so subtle that few people notice them. But these recent changes can be seen immediately.
